The University of Natural Sciences, VNU-HCM announces the admission to the master’s degree program in 2024 – round 2, Integrated Science major as follows:

- ADMISSION CONDITIONS: Candidates must meet the following conditions:
3.1. Regarding university degrees and academic results:
a) Candidates must have a degree or a decision to recognize a university (training systems: full-time, part-time, second degree, etc.) in the following groups of majors:
- Natural sciences: Physics; Atomic and nuclear physics; Chemistry; Materials science; Geology; Meteorology and climatology; Hydrology; Oceanography; Environmental sciences.
- Life sciences: Biology; Biotechnology; Bioengineering; Applied biology.
- Resource and environmental management: Resource and environmental management; Natural resource economics; Land management.
- Mathematics: Mathematics; Computational science; Data science; Applied mathematics, Mathematics and informatics.
- Computers and information technology: Computer science; Computer networks and data communications; Software engineering; Information systems; Computer engineering; Artificial intelligence; Computer engineering technology; Information technology; Information security.
- Engineering (technology): Chemical engineering; Materials engineering; Metal materials engineering; Environmental engineering; Engineering physics; Nuclear engineering; Biomedical engineering; Electrical engineering; Electronics-telecommunications; Petroleum engineering.
- Pedagogy; Educational technology; Educational management; Mathematics pedagogy; Informatics pedagogy; Physics pedagogy; Chemistry pedagogy; Biology pedagogy; Natural science pedagogy.
b) Candidates are given priority in reviewing their applications when they satisfy one of the following conditions regarding the training program and undergraduate study results:
c.1. Those who have graduated from university programs that meet accreditation or assessment standards according to regional and international standards, including: AUN-QA, AACSB, ACBSP, ABET, EUR-ACE, FIBAA, CTI, ASIIN, HCERES and have a cumulative GPA of 6.5 or higher (on a scale of 10).
c.2. Those who have graduated from advanced university programs according to the Project of the Ministry of Education and Training at a number of universities in Vietnam and have a cumulative GPA of 7.0 or higher (on a scale of 10).
c.3. Those who have graduated from regular university programs with a cumulative GPA of 7.0 or higher (on a scale of 10).
c.4. Those who have graduated from university programs of engineering, talented bachelors of VNU-HCM or VNU-HN.
c.5. University graduates with international certificates GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), GRE (The Graduate Record Examination). The validity of the certificate is calculated according to the period stated on the certificate and is calculated from the date of the certificate exam to the date of application for admission.
c.6. Foreigners who have achieved a minimum Vietnamese proficiency level of level 4 or higher according to the Vietnamese Proficiency Framework for Foreigners.
Note: People with university degrees issued by foreign training institutions must have a notarized Vietnamese diploma, Vietnamese transcript with a verification document from the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training on the foreign diploma when submitting the application for the exam (website for registration for diploma verification: https://dichvucong.moet.gov.vn/web/guest/thu-tuc-hanh-chinh/).
3.3. Regarding foreign language proficiency:
- Exemption from foreign language test: Candidates who meet the foreign language proficiency requirements as prescribed in Appendix 1 of this notice will be considered exempt from the foreign language test.
- English test: Candidates who do not meet the foreign language proficiency requirements prescribed in Appendix 1 of this notice must register to take the English test.
3.4. Scientific research achievements (if any)
Candidates who have published scientific articles will be given priority in the following order: main author (first author/corresponding author), co-author, member of the author group and journal classification/ranking.
Candidates need to present a complete list of scientific publications in their application essay, along with copies of the scientific publications.
3.5. Awards, certificates and professional qualifications (if any)
Candidates with awards, certificates of merit from the Faculty level or higher, Candidates with outstanding achievements in professional experience relevant to the applied field (work experience, having studied relevant professional courses, etc.).
Candidates must fully present their professional experience in the application essay with evidence (for example: copies of certificates, certificates/confirmations of professional courses, etc.)
3.6. Clear personal history, not in the period of disciplinary action from warning level or higher and not in the period of criminal sentence execution, confirmed by the local authorities of the place of residence.
3.7. Good health to study.
3.8. Regarding the time after graduating from university: not considered.
3.9. Submit complete application documents on time according to the regulations of this announcement.
- RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
4.1. Preliminary screening of application documents: candidate documents are preliminarily reviewed based on the requirements for admission conditions as stipulated in Section 3 of this announcement.
4.2. Review of documents:
- The professional subcommittee will evaluate and approve the application of the candidate based on the university study results, scientific achievements, and professional capacity presented in the candidate’s admission essay to prioritize the professional interview list.
4.3. Professional interview:
- Candidates attend a direct interview with the Professional subcommittee according to the schedule in section 8.2 of this announcement.
- Candidates attending the professional interview refer to the interview topic of the applied major in Appendix 2
4.4. Foreign language ability:
- Review the list of candidates exempted from the foreign language test based on the regulations in Appendix 1.
- Make a list of candidates registered to take the English test.
- ADMISSION CRITERIA: Candidates meet the following criteria
- Professional:
- Application documents are approved by the Professional subcommittee.
- Interview results of the Professional subcommittee: ≥ 5.0 points.
- Foreign language proficiency: exempted from the foreign language exam or the English language exam score in the 2024 master’s entrance exam – round 2 must be at least 50/100 points.
- Approval by the Admissions Council: Based on the admission quota of the major, based on the results of the professional interview. The Admissions Council will review the list of candidates who meet the requirements for master’s admission according to the interview score from highest to lowest until the quota is full.
Note: Candidates will only be considered for admission to 1 major, based on the priority registration order of the candidate’s wishes.
- APPLICATION DOCUMENTS FOR ADMISSION: Candidates register for a maximum of 3 wishes (NV), each NV submits 1 application. NV 2, 3 can photocopy from NV 1’s profile, except for the receipt and application form.

- 01 Application form for English test, if not exempted from foreign language test (form 3)
- 01 essay for master’s program (form 4)
- 01 copy of university degree or university graduation certificate (with notarized copy)
- 01 copy of university graduation transcript – Vietnamese (with notarized copy). Candidates can submit additional transcripts, certificates, other certificates, etc. to prove professional competence (if any).
- 01 copy of foreign language proficiency as prescribed in Appendix 1
- If a copy of the certificate/certificate is required, it is not notarized.
- If a copy of a foreign language bachelor’s degree is required, it must be notarized.
- 01 Health certificate (at Hospital, General Clinic with 12-month validity)
- 01 Personal CV certified by local authorities (form 5 or CV form for job application).
- Copies of certificates of merit, awards for student’s academic and research achievements (if any, not notarized)
- Copies of scientific research publications (if any, not notarized)
- Copies of university program certificates meeting accreditation or evaluation standards according to regional and international standards (if any, not notarized)

Note:
- Copies requiring notarization must be valid for 12 months from the date of notarization to the date of application submission.

The school only accepts complete, correct, and timely applications.
For candidates who do not have a National University Degree, they can submit a National University Degree Certificate instead of a National University Degree when submitting their application. In this case, the candidate must submit a copy of the National University Degree before November 30, 2024. After this deadline, if the copy of the National University Degree is not submitted, the School will cancel the admission results.

8.4. Interview and English test notice:
Candidates receive the notice directly at the Graduate Training Department from October 23, 2024 to October 25, 2024, during office hours (can have a relative receive it on their behalf). Do not send it to the candidate by post.
- SUBJECTS AND PRIORITY POLICIES:
9.1. Subjects: Candidates are entitled to priority policies when they belong to the following subjects
a. People who have worked continuously for 2 years or more (as of the deadline for submitting application documents) in localities specified as Region 1 in the National High School Graduation Exam Regulations. In this case, candidates must have a decision to accept work or transfer or second work from a competent agency or organization;
b. War invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids;
c. Children of martyrs;
d. Heroes of the armed forces, heroes of labor;
d. Ethnic minorities and those with permanent residence for 02 years or more (as of the time of the exam) in the locality specified as Area 1 in the National High School Exam Regulations;
e. Children of resistance fighters who were exposed to toxic chemicals, confirmed by competent authorities to have deformities, disabilities, or reduced ability to self-reliant in daily life and study due to the consequences of toxic chemicals.
9.2. Priority level, Candidates who are in the priority category in section 9.1 (including those in multiple categories) will have 10% of the total English test score added to their exam results, if they are not exempted from the foreign language test.
- ADMISSION FEE: The registration and admission fees for each application are as follows:
- Registration and admission fee: 300,000 VND/candidate/application.
- Professional interview fee: 200,000 VND/candidate/wish.
- English test fee: 200,000 VND/candidate.

12.1. Training program framework of each major

12.2. Training time, study schedule:
a) The total training time of the regular master’s program is 2 years (24 months).
b) The 2024 enrollment period – phase 2 will start studying the professional part in December 2024.

12.3. Tuition: Tuition is collected by school year, expected collection level for the 1st year, 2024 enrollment period for the Integrated Science major: 38,475,000 VND/year 1
