Results of reviewing master’s degree application documents in 2024 – round 2

The Graduate Admissions Council, University of Science, VNU-HCM announces the results of the 2024 Master’s degree application review – Phase 2 as follows:

1. Application review criteria: The professional subcommittee evaluates the application on a maximum scale of 15 points, based on the following criteria:

• Meet the general requirements for a university degree as stated in Section 3 of the Master’s degree admission notice No. 923/TB-KHTN, dated August 12, 2024.
• University graduation major, average university graduation score.
• Scores of specialized subjects appropriate to the applied major.
• Assessment of the training program quality.
• Candidate’s essay presenting professional capacity and experience.
• Admission criteria for each major.

Instructions for looking up results at the link: enter the applicant’s citizen identification number.

3.2 Application review results:

Candidates are only considered for admission to 01 wish

a) Admitted to the master’s program: Candidates are exempted from the foreign language exam and have an application review score greater than or equal to the admission standard score according to the applied major.

b) Meet the application review requirements, exempted from interview and English test: Candidates have an application review score greater than or equal to the admission standard score according to the applied major, not exempted from the foreign language exam.

c) Professional interview: Candidates whose application scores are lower than the admission standard score according to the applied major (including candidates exempted from the exam and foreign language exam)

4. Professional interview and English exam schedule

4.1 Interview fee: Candidates attending the professional interview come to the Graduate Training Department to pay the interview fee of 200,000 VND/candidate from October 23, 2024 to 4:00 p.m. on October 25, 2024 (office hours)

4.2 Professional interview schedule: on the morning of October 26, 2024, Candidates check the interview time and exam room location in the exam notice.

4.3 English exam schedule (4 skills): October 27, 2024, Candidates check the exam time and exam room location in the exam notice.

5. Receive interview notice and English exam notice (exam notice):

Candidates receive the exam notice directly from October 24, 2024 to 16:00 on October 25, 2024 (office hours) at the Graduate Training Department, University of Science, 227 Nguyen Van Cu, Ward 4, District 5, HCM (can ask a relative to receive it on their behalf). The exam notice will not be sent by post to candidates.

6. Change of major: (attach a list of correct majors, suitable majors)

• Candidates who have not met the requirements for application review and must attend an interview can register to change majors accordingly as shown in the table below if the major they graduated from university is in the correct major, suitable major as shown in the attached list (only applicable to candidates who have not submitted an application for these majors).
• Candidates will register directly at the Graduate Training Department on October 23, 2024 or via email: dtsaudaihoc@hcmus.edu.vn
